What is a School-Home Compact?

A School–Parent Compact is an agreement that families, students, and teachers develop together. It explains how families and teachers will work together to make sure all students reach grade-level standards.

Building Partnerships

We believe that a strong partnership between families and school is essential for student success. To support this partnership, our school is committed to offering meaningful opportunities for families to stay informed, connected, and involved in their child’s education. These opportunities include:

  • Family Engagement Nights focused on academic strategies, literacy, math, and student wellness.
  • Parent–Teacher Conferences and Student-Led Conferences to discuss student progress and set shared goals.
  • Volunteer opportunities in classrooms and events.
  • Resources and strategies to help support learning at home.
  • Open communication such as newsletters, emails, phone calls, school website, and parent–teacher apps.

We encourage families to take part in school activities and provide input. When families and schools work together, students thrive!

Jointly Developed

This School–Parent Compact was developed collaboratively with input from families, teachers, school staff, and community members. It is reviewed and updated annually during family engagement meetings and through parent surveys.

We welcome feedback from families at any time. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions to improve the compact, please contact the school office or your child’s teacher. Your voice is important in supporting student achievement and strengthening the home–school partnership.
